Club Quarantäne was a 42-hour virtual rave launched in April 2020 by Resident Advisor, YouTube, and a global network of electronic music creatives in response to COVID-19 lockdowns.
Hosted by Resident Advisor, The event was spearheaded by Resident Advisor, one of the most influential platforms in electronic music, in collaboration Offworld.live, we (as part of Offworld.live) made multiple virtual enviroments utilising the Offworld 360 camera technolgy. A Unreal Engine streaming plugin. How Did It Work? Interactive Website: The event was hosted on a custom-built site that mimicked a club environment, allowing users to move between virtual rooms and interact with others. Global Accessibility: Anyone with internet access could join, making it a truly international gathering. Free Entry with Donations: Participation was free, but donations were encouraged to support artists and organizers. Cultural Impact: Club Quarantäne became a symbol of resilience and creativity in the electronic music scene, offering a sense of connection and escapism during a time of isolation.
